TONIGHT at Shane’s Rib Shack we will again put the Football in Focus with our LIVE video show that runs from 6pm until. We thank Shane’s Rib Shack for hosting this season’s show and we will continue our weekly coverage of the area high school, college and pro football talk.

Special guests will be coming in tonight from High Point Central, Grimsley, Southern Guilford and N.C. A&T.

We will have Ricky Dowdy, Drew Adams and James Moorman from High Point Central as they prepare to battle Grimsley this week in a key Metro 4-A Conference matchup. Ricky Dowdy has already committed to N.C. State and he is one of the state’s top defensive players and he along with Moorman lead the Black Watch Defense. Adams is the Bison QB and as a sophomore he has begun to leave his mark on the overall effectiveness of the HPC offense which has showed much improvement as we hit the mid-way point of the 2008 season.

Coach Mark Saunders of Grimsley will join us and he is no stranger to the Football in Focus Show. Coach Saunders will bring an assistant with him and he might sneak in a Whirlie player too.

It has been a very rough week for the Southern Guilford Storm with the tragic death of their outstanding RB/LB Scotty Wayne and the injuries sustained by the SG quarterback Darren Garcia. The car crash last Saturday morning that claimed the life of Cameron “Scotty” Wayne has devastated the Southern Guilford community but SG Storm coach Daryl Brown said he wants to join us for the Football in Focus Show so we can in a way honor Scotty Wayne and talk in detail about how much this young man meant to the Southern Guilford program.

Coach Brown and his team will attend Scotty Wayne’s funeral today and the Storm will practice this afternoon but they will also be our guests on the Football in Focus Show tonight at Shane’s Rib Shack on Westover Terrace.

It’s Homecoming Week at N.C. A&T State University and the Aggies will be represented at the show by Athletic Director Wheeler Brown. The “Big Wheel” will come in and give us all the information we need to get ready for the festivities associated with this weekend’s Aggie Pride Homecoming known to the locals and many others from all the United States as, “The Greatest Show on Earth”. Mr. Brown may also have a special guest for us to interview. The Aggies take on the Morgan State Bears on Saturday at 1:30 in Aggie Stadium on the N.C. A&T campus.

We will also have our regular college and pro football experts; Doug Cockman with his look at, “This Week in ACC Football”(Clemson at Wake Forest tonight) and Big Jim Modlin will take us deep inside the NFL with his picks and insight on the upcoming games including the Carolina Panthers versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

That’s LIVE tonight from 6pm until at the Shane’s Rib Shack on Westover Terrace near the Grimsley HS campus.
