A Monday Night Catfight in Jamestown: Ragsdale TIGERS 34 – Southwestern Randolph COUGARS 0

Due to last Friday’s forecast for heavy rain in the area-the forecast was wrong-Ragsdale and Southwestern Randolph teed it up last night in Jamestown on Senior Night for The Tiger Seniors.

After a quick four and out-short punt by the Cougars-Ragsdale took over on it’s own 33 yard line and quickly went to wide receiver Luke Sonriker on their first play from scrimmage to take the early 6-0 lead. Tag on the extra point by place kicker extraordinaire Kasey Redfern and it was 7-0 before your fanny could get chilled on the concrete bleachers.

That score would prove to be enough, as the Tiger defense pitched a shutout while the not so sharp offense totaled 34. Yes, the Tigers did not look sharp, even though winning by the wide margin. Southwest Randolph played hard with only about 24 total players on their roster.

Up next for Ragsdale after the bye week, it’s Asheboro on the road for what looks like the game for the conference championship in The Mid-Piedmont 3A on November 7th. This one will be a good one to see if Ragsdale can complete the regular season undefeated at 11-0.

We had our camera in hand. Let’s let the pictures that will follow do the rest of the talking!
