State-wide College football Top Ten

State-Wide Top Ten:
#1 North Carolina(6-2)…This is now the hottest team in the state after their 45-24 whipping of BC last Saturday. This week the Heels have an OPEN DATE.

#2) Appalachian State(6-2)…The Mountaineers handled Furman 26-14 and now get Wofford(6-1/4-0) on Halloween night.

#3) Wingate(8-1)…The Bulldogs win a tough one over Catawba 34-24 and now travel to meet Carson-Newman on Saturday.

#4) UNC-Pembroke(7-1)…The Braves had the week off and now face Concord on Saturday.

#5) Elon(7-2)…The Phoenix let us down with the 55-20 loss to Wofford and now take the week off before facing Western Carolina on Nov. 8.

#6) Wake Forest(4-3)…The Deacs are looking weak after the 16-10 sad ending at Miami and after the loss they will host the Duke Blue Devils on Saturday.

#7) East Carolina(4-3)…ECU was off last weekend and now meet Central Florida this Sunday night.

#8) Fayetteville State(7-2)…The FSU Broncos keep getting better after their 20-16 victory over Saint Augustine’s Falcons in Raleigh. Now (5-1) CIAA. Up next Livingstone at home in the last game of the regular season.

#9) Shaw(6-3)…The Bears laid it on Livingstone last Saturday 55-7. Now (5-1) CIAA. Bears at J.C. Smith on Saturday.

#10) Elizabeth City State(6-3)…ECS took care of St. Pauls out of Lawrenceville, Virginia this past Saturday in a huge Homecoming win for the Vikings, 39-9. Now (6-0) CIAA. ECS will host Virginia Union this Saturday afternoon.
