This might just be the State Championship game when Ragsdale meets Dudley Friday night

Both teams (13-0) and playing like it’s nobody’s business who they beat next…..This might just be the State 3-AA Title game when they meet at Dudley this Friday evening. We have been piling the hype on this game all week and for good reason.

This is the BIG ONE. How often do you see two teams from the same county going at it this late in the season/playoffs and neither team has a blemish on their record? Not a spot, not one bad mark at all. Both of these teams are perfect.

I was saying earlier this week or it might have been last week that the Ragsdale fans might be getting scared about going over to Dudley. That is just part of the hype to get everyone talking about this game. There may not be another game like this one in the history of our Guilford County. It’s all about going for the Title.

I will do anything I can to HYPE up this game because it means so much to both teams, both programs, and to both schools. How often in do you get a chance to be a part of something as big as this?

This is the BOMB and something is going to explode….There shouldn’t be one blade of grass left standing on that field after Friday night. The mayor should be there, Mo Green, the man of charge of the school system should be there, Leigh Hebbard should be there(he’s our County AD), and the message is, don’t miss this game if you are a football fan.

I saw the gladiators from Page practicing last night under the lights and when they came into the gym after practice, they looked like the Warriors they have become. Very impressive, what the Pirates and the NEG Rams have accomplished.

History in the making though on Friday night at Dudley, (13-0) and somebody is going down…….

  2. I’m kind of glad the game is @ Dudley. Going on the road adds to the excitement. And the fact it’s across town on the road makes it even better.

    Feels like Friday – shouldn’t we be playing tonight? Can’t get here soon enough

  5. I’m expecting a monster crowd for this game , bring a friend. I’m use’d to my Dudley Panthers being the underdog. All this hype has got me ready……………Go Panthers!

    When was the last time Dudley was an underdog? They are playing at home, they’ve won virtually every game they have played this year in a blowout, and they have the longest winning streak in 3A if not the state. Having said that, the Ragsdale kids are as ready as they can be. They will not be intimidated by Dudley, no matter what!

    Dudley blewout the weaker opponents and was held in check by better opponents.

    Also Reidsville has a 29 game winning streak which is the longest in the state right now, Dudley is at 19 and is the longest in the 3A ranks.

  11. I will be at the 71st @ Page game. Going to be a great one. Page and 71st have ALOT of history going back to the 4A state Championship game from 85.

  12. Joe, Last year Dudley went into the playoff’s with 2 losses and a chip on their shoulder as underdogs.Did not matter tonight though.Our defense was intense.

    Enough is enough. I’ve followed your comments on the board. You are doing a terrible job of representing Dudley and Dudley fans. The game was not a blow out. We did what good teams do and put em’ away late. You seem so negative. I don’t see any comments even close to yours coming from Ragsdale players, parents, or friends, so take a chill pill. The world is not against Dudley and neither is Guilford County. I wouldn’t want you coaching my kids because the attitude you have displayed on these boards is something I wouldn’t want my kids to get from a supposed coach and role model.

    To the Ragsdale Players, Coaches, and Parents – Panther Nation thanks you for a hard fought game.

  15. Hey Mr. Arnold(you’ll figure this out later) I would not want to coach your kid ever if he can’t stand a little heat. Those are not the kind of players i would ever have on my team. I seem negative because i’m sticking up for my boys. You have some nerve young man. You don’t even come close to representing true Panther Pride! So save your lecture for your child. You can be a positive role model for him. This has nothing to do with the Ragsdale parents or fans. It has everything to do with a few bozo’s like yourself who don’t even know what they are talking about. So here again coach your own child and i’ll keep turning out D-1 players. It’s worked thus far so why change? Go follow someone else. You barking up the wrong tree my friend.
