Panthers pound Bucs at BOA Stadium

A franchise-record rushing performance — bolstered by 100-yard, two touchdown performances by Jonathan Stewart and DeAngelo Williams — gave the Panthers a resounding 38-23 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Bank of America Stadium. With the win, the Panthers are in sole possession of first place in the NFC South.

Steve Smith didn’t have acres of room to roam, but found just enough space for a 100-yard night … The Panthers “elastic” defense gets the stops when it counts …

Running back DeAngelo Williams became the third player in team history to rush for 1,000 yards and set a single-season mark with 13 rushing touchdowns and more as the Panthers re-write the record books.
