Paul’s Pro Pigskin Prognostications week 15

In the words of Herman’s Hermits, 2nd verse same as the first, another 13-3 record last week brings the season total to 136-68-1.

Now for week 15….

New Orleans @ Chicago: Two teams in desperate need of a win to stay in contention. Chicago though is the team with the more realistic chance of making up ground. With this game in the windy city and poor conditions forecast the bears are also the more realistic choice as the Saints will struggle mightily in those sort of conditions. Bears 21 Saints 13

Tampa Bay @ Atlanta: The Panthers ran all over the Bucs Monday night, bad sign with the ball control minded Falcons on tap. Atlanta 31 Tampa 24

Washington @ Cincinnati: The Bengals would be the worst team in football if not for the amazing incompetence of the Lions. But the Skins are fading fast. Injuries coupled with infighting will make this contest closer than it ought to be, but I can’t go against my boys. Skins 27 Bengals 21

Seattle @ St. Louis: Two teams with a combined 4-22 record, can’t we just call this game off? No? Oh all right. Seahawks 21 Rams 16

San Francisco @ Miami: The Niners are playing much better as of late, but not well enough to take out a Dolphin team that can taste the playoffs. Dolphins 24 49ers 20

Buffalo @ NY Jets: Both teams are hanging by a thread, but the Jets are the team that seems to have a better grip. Jets 23 Bills 17

Detroit @ Indianapolis: Jim Rome will move one game closer to his dream of seeing someone run the table in reverse. The Colts on the other hand are the one team that no one will want to see in about a months time. Colts 38 Lions 14

San Diego @ Kansas City: The Chargers are out of contention but still can set the slate for a strong comeback in 2009. The Chiefs on the other hand are light years from being anything resembling a contender. Chargers 31 Chiefs 21

Green Bay @ Jacksonville: Neither team has anything to play for but the Jaguars seem to still have more to play with, especially at home. Jags 27 Packers 24

Tennessee @ Houston: The Titans have recovered nicely from their only loss, a win this week will lock up home field throughout the playoffs and I see them getting it in their former hometown. The Texans though will keep it interesting. Titans 23 Texans 20

Minnesota @ Arizona: The Cardinals are flashy but Minnesota runs the ball and plays defense and that makes all the difference this time of the year even in climate controlled conditions. Vikes 24 Cards 23

Denver @ Carolina: This will be a wild affair, in the end the Panthers running game will be the difference. Panthers 34 Broncos 27
Pittsburgh @ Baltimore; The Ravens are for real and Joe Flacco will be a big time QB. Big Ben though already is, and he has his sights set on a return to the Bowl. Steelers 20 Ravens 10

New England @ Oakland: Hard as it has been for the Pats to keep in contention they will not step in the NFL equivalent of excrement. Pats 28 Raiders 17

NY Giants @ Dallas: The final game in the history of Texas Stadium will see the Cowboys come up with an inspired effort to stay in contention. Dallas 28 Giants 27
