Brian Webb MVP at Southeast Guilford

The Southeast Guilford Falcons had their 2008 football banquet last night down at the PG Moose Lodge and senior DB/LB/WR Brian Webb was named the team’s Most Valuable Player.

Brian had a great year and I still remember when he blocked that punt and recovered it for a touchdown in the Falcons’ 7-6 loss to Ragsdale at SEG.

Webb is giving serious consideration to walking on at East Carolina and his 4.27 40 time should help him and since Brian is only 5’10 he has always had to use his work ethic as a motivating force and that could be what takes him to the next level. Coach Fritz Hessenthaler has been very complimentary of Webb and rightfully so.

Terrance Topps, James Pegues, and Alex Harrison joined Webb on the Mid-Piedmont 3-A All Conference team and there may have been one more Falcon that made the squad and we will try and get that name for you.

Page had their football banquet last week and Grimsley had theirs this past Sunday and if we get other names of award winners we will pass them along. Send us what you have and we will get it on the site.
