The 72nd NC-SC Shrine Bowl game is Saturday in Spartanburg, South Carolina and we will have Matt Millisor and Tony Washington from Guilford County and several other area players on the team.

I have listed the players with name, #, etc., so you can check that out, plus Scotty Wayne from Southern Guilford was slated to be on the team as well. We have a special message to the Wayne family from the Shriners.

You can listen to the game by going to www.shrine-bowl.com and I believe kickoff is slated for around 12 noon on Saturday. The 2008 game will be broadcast on ESPNU on January 7. We will try to have info and more updates on the game throughout the weekend.

Be sure to check our info below on the players and the message to Scotty Wayne.

Ed Hampton of the Shrine Bowl Athletic Directors Staff reported to the SBOC Public Relations Office earlier that Southern Guilford football player, Scotty Wayne, whom was to be named to play in the 72nd Annual Shrine Bowl Game for the Tar Heels, was killed in an automobile accident on Saturday, October 4th on I-85 in Davidson County.
