Graham over EG in a tight finish at Mid-Carolina Classic:Jenkins and Lucas All-Tournament

Graham 75, Eastern Guilford 68…..

Capsule from Graham-EG game:

Graham jumped out to a 20 point lead and it looked like the game would be a blow out on the host home floor. But Eastern gained its composure and cut the lead to 16 at half time. Graham kept steady and by the end of the third they had an 18 point lead and the game looked like it was all but over.

Eastern regrouped and started knocking down shots all over the place and had Graham calling time out after time out. Capricia Small knocked down a couple of threes. Miranda Jenkins was scoring from inside on floaters and jump shots. Amerijah Jamison was scoring outside in. Lashonda Anderson scored from the inside.

Now it was a three point game 71-68 around the minute mark. The crowd was in a frenzy from both sides. Eastern got a good look and Kristin Crosby three pointer that would have tied the game went in and came out.

Eastern never got closer because it became a foul shooting contest there after for Graham to lead to the final margin of victory.

Miranda Jenkins had a double-double with 25 points and 10 assists. Amerijah Jamison contributed 13 points and 8 rebounds. Lashonda Anderson had a double-double with 10 pts and 10 rebounds.

Miranda Jenkins made the All-Tournament team averaging 19PPG, 7.3RBG, 7.7APG, 2.3BPG, and 2.3SPG…..

Tiffany Lucas from Grimlsey also made the All-Tournament team averaging 7PPG with a high of 10 as Grimlsey won their first game by one point over Graham and then they fell to Burlington Cummnigs on Monday 46-37 and lost to Raleigh Millbrook on Tuesday 42-32…..
