Chattanooga (8-10, 4-3) at UNCG (3-12, 2-4), 7 pm

 Storylines

• UNCG hosts Chattanooga in a key early season SoCon North Division match-up. Currently two games seperate first through fifth places in the North Division with Chattanooga sitting second (1/2-game behind Western Carolina) and the Spartans sitting fifth (two games out).

• Chattanooga leads the all-time series, 12-9, although UNCG has won three of the last four. The teams split homecourt wins last season, Chattanooga winning 78-73 at McKenzie Arena in January and the Spartans winning here at Fleming, 87-64, on the night Kyle Hines’ number was retired.

• Stat to watch: UNCG is shooting 49.5 percent from the floor in tis last four games, averaging 78 points in those contests. The Spartans shot 35.8 percent from the floor and averaged just 58.2 points in the first 11 games.

• UNCG has used 10 different starting line-up in 15 games this season – but has used the same lineup in the last four contests. All 10 scholarship players on the active roster have started at multiple games thus far and none have started every game. All 10 are averaging double figure minutes, as well –from Ben Stywall’s 31.8 per game down to DeAngelo Jackson’s 11.8 per contest.

• Turnovers have been a problem for a good part of this season for the Spartans. UNCG has had more turnovers than field goals in a game four times this season. UNCG is 307th in the nation in turnovers per game at 16.6 (through Tuesday’s action). The opposition has also had 20 or more points off of turnovers in 10 of the 15 games (1-9 record in those contests). However, the win at Appalachian State, UNCG had just 10 turnovers, resulting in just nine points (a season-low), and had just 12 in the win at Elon on Saturday night.

• Mikko Koivisto has made 91 of his last 101 at the foul line going back to the latter half of his freshman season and is now 115-134 from the line for his career (85.9%). He is second in the SoCon in free throw percentage this season at 89.1% (41 of 46).

• Ben Stywall became the ninth player in school history to record 500 career rebounds in the Georgia Southern game. He has had seven games with double-digit rebounds already this season, including five double-doubles (second in the SoCon). Stywall is third in the SoCon in rebounding at 9.1 per contest. He is ninth in school history in career rebounds with 523 (up next: Jonathan Clifton at 530 and Brian Brunson at 531).

• Mikko Koivisto needs 10 points to move into the Top 30 in career scoring at UNCG. He enters today with 771 points, which also ranks ninth among active SoCon players.

• UNCG announced on Dec. 5 that it will move its home games to the Greensboro Coliseum beginning next season. The arena will be modified to a seating capacity of 7,613 for most home games, with at least two expandable options being available. The full capacity of the venue is 23,500.
