We heard from a good friend of the site this morning, and former WXII TV12 Sports Director Dave Goren informs us that the job search continues.
There is no concrete deal done yet for Dave and we ran some info earlier in the week announcing that Dave was set to go to work for Wake Forest and that is not the case.
Dave is still looking and one of the best in the business is still open for new job possibilities. We are still pulling for Dave Goren and know he will be back in action someplace soon and that GREENSBOROSports.com has become the home of anything and everything related to Dave Goren and his quest to get back in the local lineup.
I hope Wake will give Dave a look or maybe TWC TV14 or even WFMY TV Channel 2. Greg Kerr has been leaning more and more toward doing the news, why not send Kerr to the news room and put Dave Goren at the sportsdesk? If nothing else, make Dave the News 2 weekend Sports Anchor.
This would be a big boost for WFMY 2’s local viewership and it would be a true coup for Two.
I quit watching WXII when they terminated Dave Goren. Everyone else should too.
