Will Newman has verbally committed to attend Campbell/No Lacrosse this year!

Senior quarterback Will Newman from Page High School has verbally committed to attend Campbell Univeristy in Buies Creek, North Carolina.

The official signing day will be next Tuesday, February 4. Will Newman made his decision this past weekend after visiting Campbell.

Will was also looking very seriously at taking the plunge and going to Appalachian State in Boone, but in the end, the offer and opportunity were much better at Campbell.

This means the end of Will Newman’s high school lacrosse career. With the announcement to go full-time football with Campbell, it means Will will not play lacrosse this spring for the Page Pirates.

We wish Will Newman the best and look forward to hearing about more of the upcoming college signings.

  1. It’s been fun watching him play. Sorry to hear he is giving up LAX as PHS would have been one of the top teams in the state w/ him playing.

I hope he does well at Buies Creek. Will he play QB?

  2. It is going be tough on him to not play Lacrosse especially when the season/games get going.

He’s looking to play QB and I hear Will hopes to put on 3o pounds, going from 180 to 210 and thus maybe that’s the reason for laying off LAX.
