“Little” Shelley Reese, who used to play her basketball at Northeast Guilford has now found a piece of the action at Pfeiffer University.

Reese used to battle for the NEG Rams against Helen Terry from Dudley and Nini Whitaker at Page, but now Shelley is fighting for the Falcons of Pfeiffer, located down in Missenheimer, North Carolina.

(On a sidebar to that, Missenheimer is where former Guilford College men’s basketball coach Jack Jensen met his current wife Marsha, 38 years ago.)

As for Little Shelley as we used to calll her, she is now putting up these numbers for the Pfeiffer Falcons:

Shelly Reese of Pfeiffer and formerly of Northeast Guilford is averaging 6.7 ppg and 1.6 apg as a freshmen.

*****Looking good Little Shelley who’s dad was known as “Little Mike” Reese back when he played for Dudley HS and her mom is Debbie Robinson Reese, who is a local teacher/educator/administrator with the Guilford County Schools and Debbie’s dad was Mr. Rosevelt Robinson who ran Robinson’s Restaurant in downtown Greensboro for many years and Mr. Robinson(who passed away last year), was a fine man and he was respected by everyone he met.*****
