  1. Grimsley went unbeaten in the Metro regular season last year and Page has a chance to do the same this year.

The Pirates beat the Whirlies in the tournament finals at Grimsley so there is a lot at stake here when you look at the recent history between these two teams…..

  2. Greensboro Day should be able to handle Forsyth Country day, easily. Page beat FCD handily. The Pirates had a 10+ point lead for most of the 4th quarter. If GDS slips up and loses tonight, the Pirates should jump up in the GREENSBOROSPORTS dot com polls next week.

  3. I’m looking forward to a 3 point shootout between Jordan Weethe and Carter Gourley and also some monster slams by Julius Brooks. I expect Oates and Finney to have good games as well. Pirates by 7

  4. Congrats to the NG girls who got a big victory over Rockingham County. Final score 73-57. Great team ball playing!

  5. Basketball Fan said it perfectly. This was a total team effort to post an impressive victory over a very good Rockingham County. I believe Rockingham’s other losses (3) were to Dudley twice and Bishop McGuiness. Everybody came to play tonight and they attacked on both ends of the floor. This was by far the best effort the Nighthawks have put forth in their short 2 year existence. The hard work by Coach Furlough and her staff is starting to pay off.
