Greensboro College women continue winning ways

They have been on top of their game and that’s why we need to keep them somewhere around the top page of our site. The Pride of Greensboro College have done it again with Coach Jason Tuggles’ women winning again on Saturday. Can you say 13-game winning streak?

They were led again by Danielle Duncan from Ragsdale HS and here is the news on the Pride, who play at home again this Tuesday at 5:30.

Danville, Va. — Danielle Duncan (Greensboro, NC/Ragsdale) posted a double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds as Greensboro College (18-1, 12-0) defeated Averett, 66-38, on Saturday. Duncan made six of ten shots and converted seven of 10 free throws. Stats

Dione Eccles (Clemmons NC/West Forsyth) scored 18 points for The Pride, which extended its program record winning streak to 13 games. Kim Enoch (Mebane, NC/Bartlett Yancey) added nine points for GC.

GC led 32-22 at halftime. The visitors won the battle of the boards 47-40.

The 38 points ties the second fewest allowed by GC this season. The Pride held the Cougars to 23-percent shooting (12-53) and forced 32 turnovers.

Ashley Washington led AU (11-9, 7-6) with nine points.

The Pride hosts Ferrum College on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m.
