Got this note this morning that John Harder, loing-time coach at Morehead and previously at Ragsdale, has decided hang it up at the end of this season, and sounds like the end may have come last night.

Not sure if the Morehead Panthers will be involved in the Triad 3-A Tournament next week out at Northeast, but either way good job over the years by Coach Harder and thanks for all that you have done for high school sports and basketball in particular over the years.

Coach Harder is slated to assist Reggie Peace with the North Carolina All Stars when they play against South Carolina in March. Jason Tuggle and Donnie Seale are among those who played for Coach Harder at Morehead and he has had many good battles with Coach David Price at Dudley over the years…..

Here’s the note I received this morning:
John Harder coached his final home game last night at Morehead in Eden. He decided to hang it up after 30+ years of coaching ( 2 State Titles) . After a disappointing year Morehead won last night by 51 points.

*****Morehead defeated Rockingham County. We will try and get some details.*****

The final score was Morehead 108, Rockingham County 57…..

For Morehead:Jason Woodall 23 points, 5 assists, 4 steals
Juwon Winfield 21 points…
Tyson Scales…16 points
Cameron Wade…10 points
Brandon Harmon…10 points

For Rockingham County:Jordan Puckett 19…
Jordan King 16 points….
Buck Parker 14…
