Army and Clint Moore favored by Rivals.com/Baseball America

Clint Moore(Grimsley HS) and the Black Knights from Army(West Point), will be at Davidson this Saturday February 21 in baseball action.

Moore and Army will face Ohio University at 10 a.m. and this battle the Davidson Wildcats at 6 p.m.

WEST POINT, N.Y. – Add Rivals.com and Baseball America magazine to the list national media organizations forecasting Army to win the Patriot League baseball championship this spring. Both outlets have chosen the Black Knights as their favorite to capture the conference title in preseason projections.

Rivals.com names Army head coach Joe Sottolano as the Patriot League’s “Coach on the Rise,” while also selecting junior left-handed pitcher Matt Fouch as the conference’s “Best Pitcher,” and sophomore shortstop Clint Moore as the Patriot’s “Best Hitter.”

Rivals.com also lists Kevin McKague (1B), Clint Moore (SS), Andy Ernesto (OF), Matt Fouch (SP) and Ben Koenigsfeld (SP) on its preseason All-Conference squad. In addition to predicting Army to win its fifth Patriot League championship, Rivals.com forecasts Holy Cross for second place in the league standings followed by Navy in third, Lafayette in fourth, Bucknell in fifth and Lehigh in sixth.
