Bishop had all 14 players score en route to the 23 point victory over the Elkin Buckin’ Elks in the first round of the Northwest 1A conference tournament in Kernersville. The Villains used pressure defense in the second quarter to force eight turnovers and pull away from Elkin, as Bishop outscored the Elks 23-8 in the pivotal second quarter to forge to the 42-25 halftime lead. In the second half Bishop cruised, led by freshman point guard Michael Paspy’s eight second half points. The Villains will advance to the conference tournament semi-finals to face the winner of the South Stokes-East Surry game. The semis will be played on Monday night at Mt Airy high school.
