HS hoops from Tuesday Part II

The Greensboro Day School boys went on the road and defeated Forsyth Country Day 49-40 in a game where the Bengals out-scored the Furies 13-4 in the first frame of the game. After the first quarter the game was fairly even. Lucas Weavil led GDS with 12 points and have to believe Lucas nailed at least two three-pointers. GDS is now (25-3).

GDS girls fell to FCD, 60-38. The Oak Ridge girls topped Westchester 48-42 in the TAC conference tournament.

Caldwell Academy closed out the season with a heart-wrenching 69-56 loss to Calvary Baptist. Daniel Apple had 17, Ewing Carter 14 and Michael Page 10 for Caldwell.

Piedmont Triad 3-A

Parkland boys 70, SW Guilford 58: Antwon McClinton scored 13 points to lead Parkland past visiting Southwest Guilford in the quarterfinals of the Piedmont Triad 3-A tournament last night at Carver.

Parkland moves on to play in the semifinals against Reagan at Carver on Thursday at 7:30.

T.J Hayes led Southwest Guilford with 15 points.
