More on Mike Hogewood to Ring of Honor

from Jason Powell at prowrestling.net:

Ring of Honor announced on Monday that Mike Hogewood will be the play-by-play announcer for their HDNet show. “He will be handling the play-by-play duties on the upcoming HDNet television series, and we’re excited for Mike to bring his extensive broadcasting experience and wrestling enthusiasm to the company,” reads the ROH Newswire.

“A former sports director for CBS affiliate WFMY-TV in Greensboro, North Carolina, Mike has worked with a host of sports outlets. His vast resume includes work for Raycom Sports, FSN South, Sun Sports, New England Sports Network, Comcast Sports Net, the SPEED Channel, and of course, HDNet.”

Jason Powell’s POV: ROH owner Cary Silkin also pointed out that Lenny Leonard will continue to serve as the play-by-play voice for ROH DVDs. It will be interesting to see how Hogewood does given that he has no pro wrestling experience.

*****Mike Hogewood equals Mike Adamle? Let’s hope not…..*****

  1. Nice thing about Hogewood doing Wrestling, he won’t have to act nice. He can be the same old Mike – the one who talks during the National Anthem, or walks through rows of seats in the coliseum forcing people to stand instead to walking back to the concourse (after he realizes his seats are on the other side of the arena) or giving his Press Pass out to friends during Basketball Tournaments thinking he can get in without Credentials.

This could be his greatest job yet.
