Georgia Tech (18-8, 5-6) has dropped two straight after winning four of five. The Yellow Jackets were coming off a 23-point loss Sunday at North Carolina.

With Maryland leading 82-67, Kristi Toliver left the game with apparent pain in her abdomen, but the ACC’s third-leading scorer returned for the final 2:45 after Georgia Tech closed the score to 84-71. No. 11/12 Seminoles Extend Road Game Win Streak to Nine

Jacinta Monroe had a career-high 24 points and nine rebounds to lead No. 11 Florida State to a 75-58 win over Clemson on Thursday night.

The Seminoles (22-5, 10-1 Atlantic Coast Conference) remain a game up on Maryland and Duke for first place in the conference with three games to go. Florida State has never won a league title.

Monroe was coming off her worst game of the year as a sore shoulder limited her to just five points in 23 minutes against North Carolina. Against the Lady Tigers, the junior made nine of her 12 shots from the field and 6-of-11 free throws in 26 minutes.

Tanae Davis-Cain scored 13 points and Alysha Harvin added 10 points and eight rebounds for Florida State.

No. 21 Virginia Defeats Miami in Overtime, 84-75

Monica Wright added 21 points and Aisha Mohammed had 16 points and 10 rebounds for the Cavaliers (20-7, 6-5 Atlantic Coast Conference), who barely ended a two-game losing streak.

Miami (13-13, 2-9) led most of the way in search of its first victory against a ranked team in more than three years, but saw Littles tie it with a no-look heave from the foul line that banked in with 3.8 seconds left in regulation, and Virginia took charge in overtime.

Freshman Shenise Johnson led the Hurricanes with 25 points, including two free throws with 12.5 seconds left in regulation that made Littles’ improbable tying bank shot necessary.
