  1. not that it matters a ton, but Oates had over 30 in their championship game. I don’t think Brooks scored.

  2. 28 points for Oates and we were going by what the PA announcer said or what it sounded like he said…Nuch on the plate and that’s a good thing…Great job Pirates.

  3. Northern/Dudley game could not have been any more perfect. The whole game was intense from beginning to end. Dudley came in as a favorite due to Northern only being a 2 year school. Even though Northern wasn’t the favorite they came to play. Lawson had 5 fouls going into the 4th but Jonathan Frye and Freshman John McBeth hit 2 key Three Pointers to pull away from the Panthers. They have now beaten Dudley twice and both by double didgets.

  4. First you gotta give Northern their propers, they won and they are conference champs, but you gotta feel sad for everybody else. Feel sad for Greensboro because the referees had a bad night and feel sad for the Dudley team because that was just robbed. Not saying that Dudley would have won, but we probaly had a chance to witness a classic game. Maybe a triple overtime buzzer beater, either way that game had the potential to be one you tell your grand kids about, but all I can remember are the calls. It seemed the little ref was exhausted before the first quarter, he called a foul on Reggie Dillard’s block before he jumped. It seemed they had troulble dealing with atheleticsm and the pace of the game had them making more long distance calls than AT&T. One of those refs I have known since youth and he is a good guy and fair but they just did not have they night that Dudley and Northern deseerved. These are two good teams, that would need to be able to battle without the the refs being in the forefront. Greensboro got robbed of what could have been a game for the ages and that is the sad part. Congrats to Northern they did what they were suppose to do. To the Dudley players, who many said they had seen games like that before, but were still hurting, I want to say thanks for given us all the heart and effort of champions! To Greensboro, sorry you got robbed of a classic maybe next time!
