Eastern Guilford girls fall to Graham Red Devils

Eastern Guilford fell behind Graham 29-13 at the half and nearly rallied in the second half before coming up short 61-56 to the state’s fifth ranked team. Graham showed experience as to why they have been to the big dance for two straight years. Eastern put on a gutsy performance but came out flat in the first half. Eastern charge back was led by Miranda Jenkins who finished as the games top scorer with 23 points. Capricia Small chipped in with 14 points. Amerijah Jamison led the squad with 11 rebounds. Eastern finished the season 17-11 after starting out 4-8 before Christmas break. They were Conference regular season champs 9-1. Conference Tournament Champs. Advanced to the Sectional Championship game for the second year in a row. All of their starters and key reserves return next year.
