from the Greensboro Coliseum Special Events Center and UNCG’s Fleming Gym:
Concord HS 76
Charlotte Catholic 62

Forestview………..60
Andrews……………54(Score re-sets coming in from Wesley W. Gullet, West Regional staff.)
*****As Doug Cockman mentioned last night, it was slow start by the High Point Andrews Red Raiders that hurt their chances, although HPA did battle back to cut the lead to just 3 points in the 4th and final quarter.

The Raiders were led throughout the night by senior guard Tony Washington(long-range 3-pont bombs), who closed out his high school sports career with 22 points. Charles Goodwin(7pts./8 boards) was also very strong for HPA inside and he scored the first six points of the game for the Raiders after they got down 12-0 after one quarter.

The freshman Corban Collins is a tough gurad for HPA and Mark Johnson gave HPA scoring help with 8 points. He only played three minutes, but I was very impressed with the defense efforts of young Darius Rogers. Great foot-work; drop-step and shift and keep moving those feet moving and cut off your man. The kid Rogers has near-perfect defensive form. Solid season from Coach James Abell and his HPA Red Raiders.*****
