  1. Maybe now UNCG will get of rid of Dement and we can have some real DI ball around here for a change.

    GO AGGIES!

  2. WOW not expecting this. High Point has had some good teams recently, but had a drop off this year with the departure of Arizona Reid.

  3. What? A coach that has lead the Panthers to 3 consecutive winning seasons for the first time in a decade and 5 years in a row to the Big South Semifinals. And then because he has a young “rebuilding” team he gets ousted by this idiot. Maybe High Point Should be looking for a NEW ATHLETIC DIRECTOR not a Basketball Coach. It seems that maybe this guy, Craig Keilitz, owes someone something and time will tell especially if the coach comes from CRAIGS Past.(WAKE) Even if he does bring a new coach in and High Point has a winning season its because Coach Lundy Built the team not because anything the new guy does. Its a shame that a coach that has proven himself rising up from Division 2 to D1 gets treatment like this after bringing so much to the High Point Program. Whatever team picks up Coach Lundy will be getting a gift!!!!!!! He is tremendous Coach, Competitor and Mentor to these young athletes. And believes in pushing education not just basketball. The High Point program has made a terrible decision and I believe that Mr Keilitz is absolutely out of his mind if he thinks he made a good choice. I pray this decision comes back to bite him he has ruined the basketball program.

  4. It’s an awful situation for Coach Lundy and the entire staff….He is a great coach, and a better person…He had 7 freshman on his roster, with 3 of them starting at one time or another…He recruited Jay Canty, who is a legitimate DI player, along with Jarius Simms…Corey Law, who did not play this year, has all conference written all over him for at least 3 years…Nick Barbour, a freshman, who did not start until conference play, led the team in scoring@14.1 ppg…

My son was receiving interest from hpu, but as a parent, I have no further interest in hpu..

  5. Very dissapointed to hear this news. Coach Lundy and his staff were top notch guys, we have been taking our kids to HPU ever since Coach Lundy arrived and without a doubt they ran the best team camp we had ever attended and we have attended several over the past 15 years.

Quality coach, even better person, wish him the best!
