Greensboro College takes two from Hampden-Sydney, locals step up

Phetteplace, Nettesheim, Montague help Pride earn the victories

Greensboro, NC — Greensboro College defeated Hampden-Sydney 12-11 and 13-3 back on Tuesday. The first game was completed from a suspended game. In the second contest, sophomore Alex Phetteplace(Northwest Guilford HS) struck out 13 batters en route to The Pride win. In the second game, Brad Buchman (Tampa, FL/Tampa Preparatory School), Michael Parker and Ryan Laboy (Los Angeles, CA/Central Cabarrus) blasted home runs to lead The Pride to victory. GC is now 6-9 and H-SC dropped to 7-7.
