Ambassadors of Goodwill to Present National Program on Character Education & Healthy Lifestyle

WHO: Moo Moo Evans of the World Famous Harlem Globetrotters – and kids visiting Greensboro Children’s Museum.

WHAT: Harlem Globetrotter Moo Moo Evans will be speaking to kids about the team’s “C.H.E.E.R.™ For Character” program, which was designed with assistance from the U.S. Department of Education.

The interactive program focuses on the following character traits: Cooperation, Healthy mind & body, Effort, Enthusiasm and Responsibility, using the acronym “C.H.E.E.R.”™. During his visit, Moo Moo Evans will incorporate the Globetrotters’ signature ball handling skills into a motivational presentation to the kids.

WHO: Moo Moo Evans of the World Famous Harlem Globetrotters – and kids at the Hayes Taylor YMCA after school program.

WHAT: Harlem Globetrotter Moo Moo Evans will be speaking to kids about the team’s rewarding S.P.I.N.™ program.

S.P.I.N.™ – Some Playtime Is Necessary – is designed to make fitness fun for kids, while promoting and encouraging an active lifestyle.

*This YMCA is where Harlem Globetrotters legend Curly Neal spent honing his basketball skills as a youngster, and which now bears a Curly Neal tribute mural on its walls.

OTHER: The Harlem Globetrotters are bringing their spectacular 2009 “Spinning the Globe” World Tour to the Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Winston-Salem on Saturday, March 21, at 7:30 p.m.; and to the Greensboro Coliseum on Sunday, March 22, at 2:00 p.m.
