NCAA Basketball Tournament: Afternoon Delight

I was listening to the Washington-Mississippi State game on Westwood One/CBS Sports radio with Dave Simms and PJ Carlesimo and I caught the name of this freshman guard for the Bulldogs, Dee Bost, and I said to myself, hey I know that kid or at least I remember him.

Mississippi State was getting beat, but that Bost kid was out there on the radio and I remembered him from Concord. He was a Concord Spider when his team played the Dudley Panthers for the 3-A boy’s basketball title back in 2006 at the Dean Dome in Chapel Hill.

Dudley had William Graves, Rayshawn Polk, Robert Johnson, Kenny Belton and Josh Graves and the Panthers won the title over Bost’s Concord team. Bost and his Spiders came back and won the Title the next year in 2007, the senior year in HS for Dee Bost.

Bost spent last year at Hargrave Military Academy in Chatham, Virginia and now he starts for the Mississippi State Bulldogs.

You never know who you will run into on the radio.(Final score of the game was Washington 71, Mississippi State 58)

Here’s his line from the Bulldog school web site:
