Give this site some credit, we found another kid!(Marshall Moses OSU)

Yesterday it was Dee Bost from Concord that we found on Westwood Radio pllaying in the NCAA’s for Mississippi State against Washington and today we heard the name of Marshall Moses and I said, hey, I know that kid or remember him from his High School days.

The announcers kept on saying that Moses was from Aiken, South Carolina and I just knew that was the same kid that played for coach Lee Reavis at Glenn High School in Kernersville and in the Piedmont-Triad 3-A Conference.*****Game with Tennessee-OSU currently tied at 51-51, with 12:30 to play, Marshall Moses with 12 points and numerous rebounds.*****

I remember that Marshall Moses had come up here from South Carolina to play at Glenn and he was on the same team with the young phenom Eric Wallace. Chris Jacobs who was 6’6 and weighed 270 was there at Glenn at the same as Wallace and Moses. Jacobs was also a big first baseman and he got drafted by the Dodgers, I believe it was.

Glenn beat Dudley once(in the Sectionals at Smith HS) while those three were there, but the Dudley Panthers defeated the Glenn Bobcats in Greenville at ECU(East Regional Championship) for the right to play Trinity in the 2004 boy’s 3-A State Championship. Dudley lost to Trinity but the Panthers beat Bost and Concord in 2006.

We are hearing about a ton of kids that have come our way over the years and now they are on the big stage at the NCAA Tournament. I didn’t remember the Eric Hall kid all that well, from Smith HS and Radford. He was mentioned in today’s N&R.

It is interesting to hear all of these kids names popping up again. One day it’s Dee Bost and the next day it is Marshall Moses. Moses was a strong well-defined talent and he finished up his senior year at the Patterson School in Lenior. Now he is the starting forward for the Oklahoma State Cowboys and we had him here in the Triad back in 2004.

Here is his info from the OSU site:
