  1. Andy,

Can’t beleive you missed this one

Southeast Guilford @ Ragsdale tonight @ 7:00. Probably Nick McBride pitching for Ragsdale.

  2. This would be a battle in old days, but I predict Ragsdale will only loose to Tuttle if he goes 7 in those games. No one else should beat them now that they had the wake up call. Almost every starter is D1 capable.

  3. on any given day

Asheboro proved that. Plus Southeast still has some players and have played well this year. Can’t imagine the Tigers dropping another at home but these dang week long lay offs due to the rain can really keep teams from developing a rythym

  4. My Southeast Guilford contacts are out of town and our Ragsdale people have checked in.

    Thanks Mark.

  5. NW Guilford 6
    East Forsyth 0

Stephen Mekita picks up his 4th win in the 5-hit, complete game shutout. Corey McKinney’s two homeruns and Alex Swim’s two doubles pace the Viking offense. NW moves to 6-0, 2-0 in the Metro 4A.

  6. Ragsdale 13
    SE Guilford 1 six innings

Ragsdale scored three in the first inning and never looked back as they scored 7 in the sixth inning to win the shortened game. Mike Whited had a walk off grand slam to end the game. Great hit for Mike who played a great game at SS but often gets DHed for.

Nick McBride pitched five innings for his fourth win. One hit, two walks, a hit batter (who actually struck out on the HBP ) and four (or five) strikeouts.
David Coffey pitched a 1 2 3 sixth. Trey Gilmore started and took the loss for SEG.

McBride helped himself at the plate tonight going 2-2 with a HR and four RBIs. Had a two run single in the first and a two run HR in the third. DEsean Anderson was 2-3, two RBIs. Joe Bright was 2-4 with a DB and two RBIs and, Kyle Brandenburg was 1-2 with a walk and 3 runs scored and of course Whited with the grand slam was 1-1 with four RBIs.

Ragsdale is now 10-1, 4-1 on the season. Next game @ home Friday against SW Randolph

  7. grimsley 12
    high point central 5

    W:Logan Dunn
    L:Justin Lassiter

Logan Dunn came in the game in the 4th inning and pitch the rest. He looked great through the first three having consistent velocity on his fastball. Ranging from low to mid 80’s. Last inning got a little bit away from him but not much. Grimsley had many key at bats starting with kory shumate, yuri johnston, jacob dooley, and tucker rogers. Great win for the whirlies

  8. I am not sure who might throw for Grimley against NW, but it will be like leading a calf to slaughter. NW is a state contender.

  9. To NW Bball Fan,
Sorry, but your guess is wrong. I am not whirlienation. I have never posted on this site or any other site before now. My time is valuable and I would never waste it with this. Just wanted to clear that up so all the bloggers do not think I’m posting about my own son. I don’t have anything to hide and will not post a fake name like you.
