The ninth annual Deep South Classic will presented by the Greater Raleigh Convention and Visitors Bureau this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. This three-day event runs April 17-April 19 and showcases some of the top girls basketball talent in the nation.

(Our local Greensboro Galaxy team and others will be at this tournament/showcase.)

The Deep South Classic brings the nations elite prep athletes together during the only live recruiting period allowed by the NCAA. Previous Deep South events have seen such female HS basketball stars like Courtney Paris, Candace Parker, Erlana Larkins, Alana Beard, Noelle Quinn and Tiffany Jackson playing in this huge event.

This year’s Deep South Classic will include seven divisions:
17 National
17 Sponsored
17 Select
16 National

Each of these age groups will include 32 of the top travel teams in the country with all the top national teams in attendance. The focus will be on the Class of 2010 but there will also be much attention placed on the up-and-coming youngsters from around the country.

The team registration location will be the Marriot Research Triangle Park.

Friday, April 17 8am-8:50pm
Saturday, April 18 8am-8:50pm
