ATLANTA — Back in the lineup for the first time in four days, Jorge Cantu made an immediate impact.

The 27-year-old first baseman delivered two singles, an RBI and two runs scored on Wednesday night in the Marlins’ 10-4 win over the Braves at Turner Field.

Cantu had been out since last Saturday with a bruised left hand. The Florida cleanup hitter scored the go-ahead run. Dan Uggla provided three RBIs, giving him six in the first two games of the series.

The return of Cantu helped the Marlins improve to 7-1, the franchise’s best start since 1997 and 2004. In both of those seasons, they opened 8-1.
