The idea for this selection was to go back and add these scores to our most recent installment of the HS Baseball Today, but that post is so far back you may have never seen these scores.
Here’s what we have from Thursday and some of these were called in and we had to use our resources at the N&R to find the others.
Northwest Guilford dropped their second straight game down in Hartsville, South Carolina as the Vikings fall to Sumter, South Carolina by the score of 11-3. NWG now stands at (11-2) and they were the 4th ranked team in the state of North Carolina entering this tournament, against some very stiff competition.
I was curious to know if any of the kids on this Sumter High School team were on the Sumter American Legion team that played in the American Legion World Series last summer at Shelby, N.C. They probably would have to have been rising high school seniors in the summer of 2008.
Garrett Stell took the loss for NWG. Corey McKinney and Robbie McIntosh had two hits each for the Vikings.
