BEN FULTZ COMMITS TO PLAY BASEBALL AT LIBERTY UNIVERSITY

Very good news for the Liberty Flames baseball program as Ben Fultz – 2010 Ragsdale graduate has committed to play baseball for Coach Jim Toman. Ben is considered to be a big time D1 prospect, he has massive power and incredible speed, and I think he could step right in and play at any big time college.

Ben Fultz is a 4 year varsity starter at powerhouse Ragsdale – leading the team in many offensive categories, while playing in one of the toughest conferences in the area. Ben plays 2b for the Tigers, but he may use his speed in centerfield for the Flames. Coach Toman and Asst Coach Schnabel are very excited to have Ben on board as they build a big time winner in Lynchburg. Currently Liberty is in first place in the Big South Conference and have a great shot at an NCAA Regional for the first time in 9 years.

Ben will have some friends on the Liberty team as he will join Cameron Giannini (Hargrave Acad – 2009) past GBC teammate, Daniel Brown (Broughton H.S. – 2009) past Prepstars teammate, and Cal Sutphin (SWG 2010) – who has played with Ben since they were 10 years old.

Liberty is getting a great young man and baseball player – congratulations to Mike and Kim Fultz.

  1. actually Ben is just a three year starter since he’s only a junior. Tremendous bat speed and tremendous speed on the base paths. He is a real competitor and is fun to watch play. Congrats to Ben and his family.

  2. bet he’ll be a 4-year starter though. thanks for the most astute observation, mark. we thought we might get one by you
