Hoppers make it 5 of 6 at home with tight one against Delmarva

The Greensboro Grasshoppers complete their current homestand winning 5 of 6 games after Sunday’s 2-1 victory over the Delmarva Shorebirds.

Greensboro now sits at (10-4) at home this season and look to be headed into first place in the SAL North Division with an overall record of (14-10).

Sunday’s game was a pitcher’s dual between the Hoppers’ Kyle Kaminska and the Birds’ Richard Zagone.

Kaminska gets the win going six innings, giving up one run on four hits and striking out 7. Brandon Todd worked two innings of relief and then Pete Andrelczyk came in and closed things out in the ninth inning to get the save. Andrelczyk has struck out 24 and walked only two batters this season.
