Northwest Guilford hitting leaders and there were quite a few:
Alex Swim 4-4 with an RBI
Corey McKinney 3-5
Stephen Mekita 2-4, 2 Doubles and an RBI
Robbie McIntosh 1-4 with a 3-run triple and therefore the 3 RBI night
Tommy Houston 1-2 with 2 RBI’s
Phillip Dixon 1-3 with a Double and 2 RBI’s….
Garrett Stell was the base runner for catcher Alex Swim each time Alex got on base…..Glen Clemmons and Nathan Becker also contributed for the Vikings with clutch hits and the other young man was Sanders Kuxhausen. He was part of the master plan that helped Northwest win the title.

East Forsyth hitting leaders:
Luke Dunlap 3-3 with one RBI
Justin Bolens 2-4 with 2 Doubles and 1 RBI

For Northwest Guilford, Robbie McIntosh came on in relief of Ben Saunders in the top of the 6th inning and he faced a bases loaded-no outs situation and McIntosh struck out the EF Eagles in order, 1-2-3…..

Again congratulations to Coach Sonny Gann and his Northwest Guilford Vikings on their Metro 4-A Title.

NWG back in action on Friday night at 7PM at home as the #1 seed from the Metro 4-A Conference versus a Wild Card team.

  1. Its Sanders KUXHAUSEN (pronounced cooks howzin), and you might as well learn to spell it because you will be hearing a lot about this lone sophomore on the NW varsity team in the coming years. He is a fine young man as well as one heck of a baseball player.
