WEST POINT, N.Y. – This weekend is shaping up to be a busy one for the senior members of Army’s baseball team.

While West Point will hold commencement exercises at Michie Stadium Saturday morning, the Black Knights’ senior baseball team members will head back to Doubleday Field 24 hours later to battle Ivy League-champion Dartmouth as head coach Joe Sottolano’s charges train their attention on their upcoming NCAA Regional appearance.

Dartmouth sports a 26-15 record and captured its first Ivy League championship in 23 years by taking two of three games from Cornell in the conference tournament earlier this month (May 2-3). The Big Green sport the Ivy League’s Player of the Year in Nick Santomauro and the Ivy League’s Rookie of the Year in Joe Sclafani, headlining a group of nine Big Green players to earn All-Ivy honors, more than any other school in the conference.
