Carolina Attitude takes IFA-Queen of the Diamond tournament

The Carolina Attitude 14u girls fast pitch softball team won the IFA – Queen of the Diamond tournament in Siler City last weekend. This was a double elimination tournament with a warm up game.

They defeated the Diamond Fever in a warm up game on Saturday 9-1 and then beat the Chatham Katz 9-0 in their first bracket game. Later on Saturday they concluded their day by taking down the South Wake Storm 9-0.

On Sunday they were matched up again with the Diamond Fever for a chance to go the Championship. Eliza Davis pitched a masterful game and got the win 9-0. The Southern Alamance Sluggers battled their way through the loser’s bracket to the championship game to face the Attitude. The Attitude played tough and got the win 3-1.

The Attitude bats were hot this weekend scoring 39 runs. The defense was stellar only allowing 2 runs. Congratulations Attitude. The Attitude 14 is coached by Mitchell Key and Mark Hulin.
