Florida Marlins Top Ten Draft Picks: That’s alot of pitching!

The Marlins went heavy on the pitching in this week’s MLB Draft in an effort to re-stock the system now that guys like Chris Volstad, Sean West, Ryan Tucker and others have all moved toward the Majors.

Florida did get the one local kid, Chase Austin from Elon, SS, at the #5 pick and Jack McKeon, one of the Marlins top bird-dog scouts had an eye on this kid, since Jack lives in the backyard of Elon University and his son-in-law Greg Booker has contacts all over Alamance County and beyond.
