Palomino Baseball tonight at WMS and Reno’s making a run

It will be The Elks versus Chatham County in game one tonight at 6pm and we just saw The Elks grab two wins over at Stoner-White Stadium back on Friday night and this should be a big measuring stick tonight as the face the team from Chatham County.

Last week Don was telling us that this game can be heard on 1570AM radio out of Siler City and this could be a good time to tune in and check out the game before it gets dark.

In game two tonight at WMS it will be The Villans versus the Diamondbacks….Start time around 8:15/8:30…….

Reno’s has been making a run recently:
Reno’s played a doubleheader on Saturday 6/20/09 picking up two wins. In the first game Reno’s Mick Raynor picked up the win 3-1 against the Villians. In the second game against the Elk’s, Taylor Atkins got the start and Brandon Wyrick came in for relief in the first inning after four runs with bases loaded. Wyrick picked up the win as Reno’s fought back for an 11-5 final.

  1. This Raynor kid is a hidden gem of a pitcher. He has had 5 straight complete game victories this year. He is a lefty with command of a four seamer, two seamer, split finger, and change up. Also, he has a curve and an occasional nasty fork ball. Raynor relies on movement, location, and velocity variation over simple velocity. Overlooked by a lot of scouts, he will be pitching for Rockingham CC next spring.
