High Point Andrews will be hosting the Red Raider shootout this weekend, Friday July 10, Saturday July 11 and Sunday July 12.
This will be a big basketball event and we will have more details coming soon, so stay tuned.
Coach James Abell has done a fine job with his HPA Red Raiders and if I I remember correctly they played Forestview very tight in the second half in the West 3-A Regionals at the Greensboro Coliseum this past March.
Coach Abell has at least two very talented guards returning from last season’s team and I believe one of those kids is Corban Collins. The other kid is the little guard with the quickest feet I have ever seen defensivley and this kid is all heart.(This kid’s first name might be Darius, but everyone will know on Friday July 10 at HPA.)
HPA lost two excellent football/basketball players to graduation in Tony Washington(Appalachian State) and Big Charles Goodwin(Winston-Salem State).
