Bobby Lashley signs with TNA, still wants to work MMA

from Jason Powell at www.prowrestling.net:

Bobby Lashley announced on ESPN radio on Wednesday that he has signed with TNA. He also stated that he would be at Sunday’s Victory Road pay-per-view. Lashley noted that he will also move forward with his MMA career. To listen to the full interview, visit ESPN.com.

Jason Powell’s POV: I’m surprised by this development given that the word out of Las Vegas over the weekend was that Lashley told people he was not going to sign with TNA. It will be interesting to see what the reaction is within UFC, as MMA sources have previously stated UFC officials wanted him to fully commit to MMA before they would seriously consider signing him. It might be a setback, but my guess is that UFC will eventually sign him if he continues to win fights and makes a name for himself.

  1. Some poor TNA wrestler is going to bear the brunt of this one evening when Lashley suddenly forgets where he is and executes a rear naked choke on the unfortunate fellow.
