Brackman set to start tonight for the RiverDogs

Former N.C. State baseball/basketball star Andrew Brackman is set to start tonight for the Charleston, S.C. RiverDogs versus the Greensboro Grasshoppers at NewBridge Bank Park.

Brackman, a 6’10/240 pound pitcher, is (1-10) on the year and has led the South Atalantic League in walks most of the season.

It will still be very interesting to see a name, two-sport player, formerly of the Atlantic Coast Conference, in action against our local guys.

Brackman and current-Hopper Jeremy Synan, were teammates while with the N.C. State Wolfpack in Raleigh.

It will be good to see Brackman, but you want to see him at the (1-11) mark went his work in done on the mound later tonight.

  1. That was one hard-earned win for the Grasshoppers.

Way ahead early and winning by the skin of their teeth, 11-10.

That kind of game can take it’s toll. Not for the faint of heart.
