DANVILLE, Va.– The 2009 USA South Football Media Day was held on Monday, August 3rd at Averett University. First-year Greensboro College Head Coach Randy Hunt discussed his team’s prospects for the upcoming year.

Christopher Newport University was picked in the preseason coaches’ poll–which was revealed at media day. The Greensboro College Pride, coming off a 2-8 2008 campaign, was picked to finish 8th. The Captains claimed their first-ever outright USA South crown last fall to go along with its five previous shared Conference titles. CNU finished 2008 with an 8-2 overall record and a 7-0 mark in USA South play.
