UNC offers up to Dudley’s PJ Hairston

Summer is the perfect time to be watching high school basketball at all the camps and the tournaments scattered throughout the country.

Coach Roy Williams and the North Carolina Tar Heels must like what they have been seeing from Dudley’s rising junior Samuel P.J. Hairston, because one of the state’s top recruiting services is offering up scholarship information and the future is beginning to look very good for PJ Hairston.

Here’s the all-around results as we look at the wants and needs of the teams from the ACC:

North Carolina has offered junior wing P.J. Hairston of Greensboro (N.C.) Dudley.

The in-state battle lines among the juniors seem to be clearing up. UNC wants Hairston, and has heavily evaluated Charlotte Vance point guard Marquis Rankin.

Duke wants small forward Quincy Miller of Winston-Salem Quality Education Academy.

Wake Forest wants Miller and Rankin, but might not get either. Clemson has made its move with North Mecklenburg small forward Bernard Sullivan.

As they say down by the barbershop, keep the good news coming on PJ Hairston.
