Hospitality: A-plus at Wyndham Championship

WYNDHAM CHAMPIONSHIP SELLS OUT ON-COURSE CORPORATE HOSPITALITY

Some Individual Tickets and Wrangler Pro-Am Spots Remain

GREENSBORO, N.C. – If a company is still deciding whether or not to purchase a skybox or luxury suite for next week’s Wyndham Championship, it’s too late. Despite a challenging economic climate, the tournament announced today that all on-course hospitality venues are now sold out. The 70th annual Wyndham Championship is set for Aug. 17-23, 2009.

All skyboxes and luxury suites surrounding the 15th, 16th, 17th and 18th greens have been sold. This sellout marks the second consecutive year that all Wyndham Championship hospitality venues have been sold. Individual tickets are still available for the YES! Weekly Party Deck at the 17th green and the Champion’s Club inside the Sedgefield clubhouse. Wednesday’s New Breed Logistics Pro-Am is also sold out. A few spaces remain for Monday’s Wrangler Pro-Am.

“This news is very gratifying,” Piedmont Triad Charitable Foundation Board Chairman Bobby Long said. “The companies that have purchased these hospitality venues represent the entire Piedmont Triad region, and we are very thankful that the region is embracing the Wyndham Championship in such a significant manner. I appreciate the tremendous effort from Mark Brazil and his staff in making this possible.”

“We commend the Wyndham Championship for its corporate hospitality sales and marketing efforts this year.” said Rick George, PGA TOUR executive vice president and chief of operations. “The sellout of corporate hospitality shows the tremendous support the Wyndham Championship receives in the Piedmont Triad region. With this corporate and community support, and a premier venue in Sedgefield Country Club, we look forward to a truly outstanding Wyndham Championship in 2009.”

The 70th Wyndham Championship is set for Aug. 17-23, 2009 at Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, N.C. Tickets are available online at www.wyndhamchampionship.com, at Piedmont Triad Harris Teeter locations or through the tournament office.
