Almost an EBC Saturday in the ACC

Just about Everybody But Carolina, lost Saturday in the Atlantic Coast Conference football action. Wake Forest, Duke, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Maryland and others….

What’s up or maybe we should say, what’s going down in the ACC????? It is starting to get old, losing to teams like William and Mary, Richmond, and Baylor each and every year…..Bill Kopald, Rich Brenner and Don Baylor; I didn’t even know those guys still had teams!

Baylor 24, Wake Forest 21

William & Mary 26, Virginia 14

Clemson 37, Middle Tennessee 14

North Carolina 40, The Citadel 6

Richmond 24, Duke 16

Alabama 34, Virginia Tech 24

Cal 52, Maryland 13

  1. big difference between losing to big 12 baylor and losing to division 1aa richmond/bill and mary

  2. Baylor looked like they had one of those mobile, agile and hostile quarterbacks and that was a big difference in the game and Riley Skinner did not look comfortable out there on Saturday. He was not his usual steady self for Wake Forest.

Bringing Don Baylor into the mix was too good to pass on…….

A Wake up call for the Deacons and can Coach Grobe bail them out of this mess that can in from the Southwest……..

  3. If you want to talk about real football lets talk about the SEC football, the ACC best cannot even stay close to the Tide, Roll Tide!!!!!!!

  4. fbfan,

Uh, fbfan… the ACC’s best was LEADING the Tide during a good bit of the first half, at halftime, and all the way into the 4th quarter.

Both teams made critical mistakes, and Tech unfortunately ran out of time to overcome theirs in the end. Offensive yards were pitiful, it’s true, but a team that was in a position to beat the almighty Alabama deserves some respect.
