The games in and around Guilford County tonight and a quick look at last night in High Point where the Bison of HP Central defeated the Smith Golden Eagles 30-8 with two TD passes by Drew Adams, one of those going to Derek Grant and on defense James(Jimmy Moorman had a pick to go with his double-digit tackles after Evan Aguilar had two interceptions and fumble recovery last week in the HPC win at Lexington…..
The High Point Central Bison JV topped Smith on Wednesday at Claude Manzi Stadium, 14-8, with PK Will Johnson going 2-2 in PAT’s……
Tonight:
Page(3-0) at Ragsdale(3-0)…..(Page with a big play of some sorts coming from Thuc Phan and Ragsdale will get big plays from their “little man” DeSean Anderson. This could end up a three-point game with Austin Anthony deciding it all with his foot for the Pirates, but then again, Kasey Refern, might be afforded that same opportunity for Ragsdale…….)
Northwest Guilford(3-0) at Northern Guilford(2-1)…..It all comes down to what type of night Keenan Allen has. The Dudley defense was able to contain him on some of his runs, but he was able to strike with the big pass play to his cousin Maurice Harris for a long six through the air. NWG is strong on the ground and the have the “big play” capablity, but I would lean toward the home here although Northwest has everyone’s attention after this red-hot start by the Vikings….

In last night’s game with HPC and Smith we picked HP Central to win it in a phone hook-up with one of the coaches on Thursday morning. We were leaning toward Central since they were at home coming off of a big road win at Lexington last Friday and also due to the fact that Smith had suffered that heart-breaking loss to NWG last Friday night and it is tough to bounce back from something like that……

LEXINGTON (AP) — A high school has canceled its Friday football game because 16 of 30 varsity players are believed to have the flu.
The Dispatch of Lexington reported today that Central Davidson football coach Mark Hoover said at least seven of his players have swine flu.
The school canceled its home game against North Davidson on Friday because of the players’ illnesses.
Davidson County Schools spokeswoman Meredith Palmer says the district has no plans to close school.

Seems like there’s some bad blood between NWG & NORTHERN….Should be a hard hitting game!

Maybe those kids could come over to NWG and paint our field. It looks terrible, could use the paint job. But were not fancy, were like rocky, our facilities stink, ugly weight room, field in bad shape, and now we get to fight Apollo Creed. whoops, got carried away. I think NG painted there own field to try to muster up some motivation to play the no names.
Northwest.OWNs Their defense come out strong! Not only LOW pad level, but LOWER pad level than Northern. D will be SWARMING and UNSTOPPABLE. Go NORTHWEST!
