HOPPERS ANNOUNCE 2010 SEASON SCHEDULE
(Greensboro, NC) The Greensboro Grasshoppers have announced the 2010 season schedule, which starts on Thursday, April 8th at NewBridge Bank Park against the Augusta GreenJackets.
The season runs from April 8 through September 6 and features a total of 140 games, 70 home and 70 away. In addition to the scheduled Grasshoppers home games, NewBridge Bank Park will host the ACC tournament. The tournament begins on Wednesday, May 26th and will conclude with the ACC Championship game on Sunday, May 30th .
Other Hoppin Fun promotional dates for the season are being finalized and will be released at a later date.
“We are diligently working to add promotions and enhance the fan experience even more for next season,†said Greensboro Grasshoppers President Donald Moore. “The 2010 should be another great season for us.â€
The Grasshoppers finished the 2009 season with an attendance of 406, 549 and have welcomed over 2,124,000 fans to NewBridge Bank Park, drawing over 400,000 fans in each of its first five years at the new downtown ballpark. The team is the proud recipient of both the South Atlantic League’s Club Merit Award and the General Manager of the Year Award for the 2005 through the 2008 seasons.
