I stopped in at one of sponsors today down on East Market Street and I noticed that Ric Flair is now working for Bruce Mitchell.

Bruce is one of the senior instructor/educators in our local Guilford County School System and I couldn’t help but see the new Ric Flair North Carolina Education Lottery standup poster at the Thrifty Market this afternoon.

Ric is pushing $5.00 lottery tickets to benefit the North Carolina education system. Flair will also be making several public appearances to hype the ticket sales during the month of October. The “Nature Boy” will be making stops at places like the Madison County Fair, the Kannapolis Fall Carnival and Drucker’s Quick Mart in North Wilkesboro.

I do wish the promotion was on-going up in Virginia. If that were the case, I would then make the trip up to Ridgeway, VA and stop in at Clarence’s Steak House and Seafood and while in the neighborhood, make a fast visit to the Fast Fare/On the Go or over to the Sheet’s Store beside the Steakhouse, and put a figure-four or a figure-five dollar bill if you will, on a few of those tickets……

In our state of North Carplina you are battling the NC Lottery, the Teacher’s Association(Bruce Mitchell), the ACLU, the ALE and the SBI for the same piece of that five dollar pie.

Don Moore may have more on this contest in the future. He was telling me about it the other day and then I saw Ric Flair for myself this afternoon going; WOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!

For now, I will still take my chances on the Virginia line and lottery, but with Ric Flair out front and Bruce’s retirement party coming soon, I may have to fork up a five spot to help out with the North Carolina Education Lottery cause…………

Watch for Ric at the Cumberland County Fair and for Mr. Mitchell at the Bow and Arrow Elementary.
